WDW Hints: How did you meet Terri Hardin?
Krista: The first time I spoke with Terri – it was over skype! I interviewed her for a Disney podcast I was working with at the time. She is terrific with her fans. Each one is very important to her. She has been kind enough to keep in touch with me, and respond to my messages, ever since that day. We’ve dined together on both coasts, Peter and I have visited her home in Burbank, and we even met the Coca-Cola bear in Disney Springs together! I value her friendship more than I could ever explain.
WDW Hints: What made you think of the idea of putting this event together including Terri Hardin & Peter Alden?
Krista: One thing I really pride myself on is connecting people!! Terri came to Orlando from her home in Burbank California in November 2016 for some personal business, and to present at a few speaking gigs I lined up for her. I held a wonderful luncheon in her honor, while she was here. Word spread about how awesome she is, and I decided to try something similar for her next visit, but on a grander scale, so that more people would have chance to meet her! I work full-time with a local entertainer here in Orlando. Peter Alden has a fantastic voice and Disney album! Retro Station is an Italian Restaurant that my dear friends, Renata and Giulianio own. All it took was a little thought, and with all these wonderful people to work with, I was able put the pieces together. The beautiful thing is there are no egos involved. All of us are needed to join hands and make something like this happen. All that is missing is you! We hope lots of WDW Hints readers will buy tickets and participate – because NONE of it will be possible without guests to come and be a part of the magic! Thank you for helping us spread the word, it means everything.
WDW Hints: Approx. how many Disney songs will Peter be singing? Will he perform any ‘other’ songs (non-Disney)?
Krista: At this point we are still putting the show together. A lot goes in to timing things out with the meal so that things flow perfectly. With so much great talent to work with – there will be a fantastic balance of Disney magic, stories, and inspiration from Terri AND all of our favorite Disney songs from Peter to keep our toes tapping! Pete does an excellent tribute to Elvis, 50’s and 60’s music and more – but unless the audience asks for a deviation – I think he will go with 100% Disney songs from his album, Kingdom Classics.

WDW Hints: Are you still an active Disney Imagineer or are you considered former/retired?
Terri: Once an Imagineer always an Imagineer. I’m known as Walt Disney’s Legendary Imagineer. I fall under a unique category with the Disney Company; they Hire me when they need me. So yes, I’m active.
WDW Hints: What do you plan on speaking about at the Disney Magic & Music Event on Feb 16th?
Terri: When doing events like Krista Joy’s Dining experience, I first get to know each guest – as this is an intimate venue. After which I ask them what they would like to discuss. Some like stories, many wish to know about celebrities, some want to know about becoming an Imagineer, but most just like to be part of a grand magical conversation.
WDW Hints: Can you tell us your Disney “favorites”?
Terri: My favorite character is Tigger. My favorite spot at WDW is Epcot. An attraction never to be missed at Disneyland is Mr Toad’s Wild Ride. In Paris, my favorite is La Tanière du Dragon (The Dragon’s Lair) and at WDW, the Haunted Mansion. In Tokyo, it’s the Rocket ships [Astro Orbiter] (they’re still high in the air.) My favorite movies are Bambi, Dumbo and Fantasia. My favorite Villain is Maleficent (from the animated Sleeping Beauty).
This event is going to be excellent and is a great deal too! Terri is creating some special art that she will have available for purchase at the event. Pete will have CDs available for sale.
