Kim lives in Saratoga Springs, NY- and she is a Dream Maker. In 2012, her husband moved the family from Daphne, Al to Upstate NY to take a new position with the company he works for and Kim got to pursue her second passion – DISNEY! As a special educator for 15 years prior to becoming a Dream Maker with Magic of Mickey Travel, Kim had seen firsthand how remarkable parents of special needs children really were and how important it was for them to have a place that allowed them to feel at ease and Walt Disney World is that place for so many.
As a Dream Maker, Kim gets to experience the excitement of planning and then visiting WDW thru the eyes of her clients. She believes she is truly helping families make memories that will last a lifetime. As a Disney College of Knowledge graduate and a special educator, Kim gets to combine 2 passions in her life into one incredible adventure. As a parent and dream maker, she believes that ALL children deserve the opportunity to experience the Magic that Walt Disney World has to offer. But, due to certain children’s disabilities and limitations, they are often not able to experience life the way a healthy child does, but at Disney World, they have no boundaries! They are able to just be kids – the way it is meant to be.
With each vacation package purchased through Kim, she includes a Goody Bag tailored to the client. If they have children, she usually sends a plush character or ears along with materials to keep them busy on the flights – books, coloring books, snacks, etc. If it’s an ‘adults only’ trip – she has a bottle of wine sent to their resort room. It’s her pleasure to always include something special.
