Purex® is at it again with a new in-wash fragrance booster called Purex® Crystals ScentSplash™! I’m a big fan of their regular crystals, so of course I wanted to give this product a try.
The big difference between Purex® Crystals and Purex® Crystals ScentSplash™, is that the ScentSplash is liquid! Because of it’s liquid state, you can immediately smell the fresh scent when you open the bottle. Just pour a half-cap to full cap of liquid in with your load of laundry (along with laundry soap, of course) and Purex® Crystals ScentSplash will eliminate laundry odors, and produce fresh laundry with a fresh scent!

The scent I received to try was Fresh Spring Waters. I’ve been using a half-capful of ScentSplash with my laundry loads. That seems to to the trick without the laundry coming out with an overpowering fragrance. In fact, after the first load, I expected my laundry to have a more perfume-like scent, but it didn’t. I folded and put away the laundry, and chose one of those clean laundered shirts to wear a few days later. I smelled the shirt before putting it on, and yep – still held it’s scent! Throughout the day, I’d smell my shirt sleeve and to my surprise… it still held the fresh scent! It’s a light scent… so I couldn’t smell it just by ‘wearing’ it on my body… I had to bring the shirt sleeve close to my nose to smell it – but it remained pleasant smelling all day. I’d say that’s a success!
To me the ScentSplash fragrance is ‘lighter’ than the Purex® Crystals. In my experience, the Purex® Crystals leave clothes with a stronger smelling fragrance. But for those who don’t want to be emitting a fragrance all day, ScentSplash is perfect! It holds its fresh scent in your clothes all day long, but isn’t wafting a fragrance into the air.
