Have you seen Disney’s Moana yet? It arrives in theaters November 23rd (2016.) Your kids (and probably even you) are gonna love it! In fact, we saw it a week early… check out our review!
When we think about Hawaii, we think of the ocean, mountains, volcanoes, vibrant colors, coconuts and palm trees! I also think of fruit – nice, juicy, citrusy fruit! So, what would be more Hawaiian than a palm tree made of fruit?! Come along and make this healthy Moana-inspired snack. It’s so easy – even your kids can help!
Ingredients needed:
- 1 Banana
- 1 or 2 clementines
- 1 Kiwi
Directions: Peel kiwi, cut in half (long-ways), then cut each halve into slices. Peel and separate clementine segments. Peel banana and cut in half (long-ways, so it will sit flat on the plate.) (Hint: for a more textured palm tree “trunk” – cut the banana into slices, but be sure it keeps its shape!)
Assemble: Use the banana as the tree trunk, the kiwi slices as the palm tree branches & leaves, and the clementine pieces as rocks or sand at the base of the tree. Take a picture with your happy kids – and enjoy!
