Snacking Around the World! (Morocco, France, the UK & Canada!)

The Morocco pavilion is a favorite of many Disney foodies, and the Tangierine Cafe is the place they love toTangerineCafe
snack. Unfortunately, Snack Credit options are hard to find here. But the sides like the tabouleh and the lentil salad are healthy, delicious, and worth the out-of-pocket cost. But if you’d like to stick to your dining plan, head over to Morocco Coffee and Pastries for the baklava!

L'ArtisanAh France… the snack options are endless at this pavilion! At this point in the day you might be ready for a sweet treat, and L’Artisan des Glaces is THE place for sweet treats in the World Showcase! One scoop of vanilla, pistachio or caramel fleur de sal in a waffle cone might be the perfect use of a snack credit!

If you’re ready for an adult beverage, Le Vins is the place to go. Here you’ll find French champagne, wine and cocktails. But you’ll have to pay out-of-pocket for it.

But my personal choice is the crepes at Crepes de Chefs de France. Chocolate, strawberry – take your pick. You can’t go wrong!

FishShopThe United Kingdom pavilion is a great place to grab that adult beverage, if you haven’t already in France. Head to the pub at the Rose & Crown for a pint and a cheese plate or a scotch egg – a hardboiled egg wrapped in sausage and fried! These snacks are yummy, and the atmosphere at this authentically British bar is great, but you can’t use your snack credits here. You can, however, head across the street to the Yorkshire County Fish shop and order a fresh fruit cup or a Victorian sponge cake using your dining plan snack credits. Grab a seat on one of the many benches along the cobblestone streets and people watch for a while.

PopcornBucketCanada used to have one of the all-time best snack in Walt Disney World: The Beaver Tail! Sounds gross but it’s oh so yummy! The Canadian take on fried dough, this pastry’s filling choices included cinnamon and sugar, maple and chocolate, and strawberries and whipped cream! Sadly, this snack is no longer available. But you can get popcorn in a souvenir bucket!… for an out-of-pocket cost.

I could (and have) spend a whole day in the World Showcase in EPCOT shopping and sampling  the food. Next time you’re going to Walt Disney World, don’t pass up this social place. You might be surprised with what you find there!
