This Summer, Pirates of the Caribbean will undergo a four and a half month long refurbishment. During that time, from May 11 to September 25, Disney will work to fix some technical problems and visual effects that the ride has been experiencing in recent months.
Problems addressed will likely include animatronic issues, audio problems, safety concerns and the fact that the boats seem to be taking on more water! The ride is set to re-open in time for the holidays – as of now, the tentative re-opening date is set for September 26, 2015.
