Normally, I do not use dryer sheets. But since Purex® sent me a box of their new Purex® Crystals Dryer Sheets (in the fresh Spring waters scent), I figured I’d give them a try. These dryer sheets are INCREDIBLY strong-scented. Honestly, when I first received the box, I kept it un-opened and just placed it in different rooms around the house – it works great as an air freshener! ;o) For it’s intended use (in the dryer with laundry), it works well. I noticed the reduced static cling, no pet hair (we have cats), but the scent wasn’t as strong on the clothing as I had expected. The laundry still came out smelling great, but I expected a stronger scent since the sheets-in-box are incredibly scented. However, when I coupled these sheets with a load washed in Purex® Crystals – the load came out smelling wonderfully!
Disney Tips for Using Purex® Crystals Dryer Sheets
The obvious use for Dyer Sheets is in your dryer with your freshly washed laundry. But here are a few other tips and uses for dryer sheets, especially when at Disney:
- Pack a dryer sheet or two into between packed clothes within your suitcase. Have fresh smelling clean clothes to wear each day of your trip!
- Tuck a dryer sheet into your pocket each day. Some people claim dryer sheets work as insect repellant. While Disney doesn’t have too many ‘biting’ insects, you never know when a bite could occur. Having a dryer sheet in your pocket or even rubbed onto your clothes (not skin!) can help keep the pests away! (Plus, you’ll smell extra nice!)
- Static problem? Rub a dryer sheet on the problem area.
- Flyaway hair? Tame it by wiping a dryer sheet over the flyaway areas.
- Roll up a dryer sheet and insert it into your shoes (which very well could be stinky) after a long days walk in the parks.
