How did you get started in candle making?
I was looking for a creative outlet outside of photography (my first passion and money maker!). Once I started the process I decided to create Disney inspired scents and had so much fun with it, it just kept growing!
How hard is it to create a new scent and make sure it ‘matches’ the scent you’re trying to achieve (such as the infamous ‘Pineapple Float’)?
Most of the characters/princesses are my personal opinion but the food inspired ones I just try to get as close as possible! I get requests frequently and that’s where some have been created from. I’m currently working on a couple new ones including Soarin’, Yacht & Beach Club, Frozen and some Pooh inspired ones!
How often to you get to visit WDW?
Truthfully I’ve only been there a couple times but my obsession with the parks, movies, characters and history is through the roof! I could talk about it all day long. Next year my boyfriend and I actually plan to move down there! We’re visiting the area in January. I think being around it constantly will really push the business farther!
Tell us your Disney Favorites!!
Character: Oh dear, it’s SO hard to choose one from each category. I’m a huge Mickey & Minnie fan (have their outlines tattooed behind each ear :D) but I’m currently quite obsessed with Olaf!
Attraction: I really like the thrill rides like ToT and Everest, that being said, MK is probably my favorite park.
Resort: I haven’t stayed at enough resorts to pick but we stayed at Pop last time and just loved it!
Restaurant: I’m a huge character meal fan and our last trip in September we went to Chef Mickey’s (repeat) and I had my first experience at Crystal Palace- I loved it so much! Pooh’s puffed french toast all the way!
Where does the name Walter&Rosie come from? Walter (named after Mr. Disney himself!) and Rosie (short for Ambrose) are my bunnies, although Rosie has passed on, I love the name and think it’s fun and different. I chose my animals because my love for animals goes so deep into my heart. My candles are 100% soy wax and totally vegan/cruelty free.
