Christmastime Around Walt Disney World

Have you had the chance to visit Walt Disney World during the holiday season? There is so much to do and see and many of these “extras” are included with your park ticket. I have compiled a list of fun and festive things to do around the parks to get you into the holiday spirit.

Epcot
Holiday Storytellers: Spend an afternoon walking around world showcase listening to the storytellers describe how the holidays are celebrated in their home country.
Candlelight Processional: Listen to the story of Christmas told by a celebrity narrator and accompanied by a choir and orchestra.
Hollywood Studios
Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights: Enjoy millions of lights as they dance in synchronization to your favorite holiday music. Don’t forget to look for Hidden Mickey’s in the lights!

Magic Kingdom
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: Enjoy free cookies and hot cocoa as you sing, dance and celebrate the spirit of Christmas with this ticketed event. Experience special shows and a festive parade that can only be viewed during this event. You can also meet your favorite characters, enjoy the icicle lights as they glow from Cinderella castle and see the snowfall on Main Street.

Jingle Cruise: Holiday magic has taken over the Jungle Cruise this year.
Animal Kingdom
Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade:  Enjoy the holiday touches that have been added to Animal Kingdom’s parade.
Downtown Disney
Festival of the Seasons: Enjoy the beautiful light displays as you shop your way through Downtown Disney. Don’t forget to bring the little ones to meet Santa.
On-site hotel displays:
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa: A life-size gingerbread house can be found in the lobby.
Disney’s Boardwalk Resort: Look in the lobby and you will find a gazebo made of gingerbread and chocolate.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort: At the Grand Canyon Concourse, you will find a Christmas tree made of gingerbread and adorned with some tasty favorites.
Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts: Here you will find a life-size carousel made entirely of gingerbread. You can also take a peek at the beautiful village and miniature train that grace the lobby.

I hope you find this list helpful as you make your way to WDW to experience the holidays.
